He is joining forces with Oscar-winning director Brian Grazer
Sean "Diddy" Combs is looking to put a new spin on the 1990 gangster film King of New York.
According to the "New York Post's" "Page Six," the hip-hop mogul is joining forces with Oscar-winning director Brian Grazer to put a fresh face on the film, which follows a drug lord who eliminates his competition and distributes the profits to the poor.
Grazer reveals that their new version will be different from the original, but "will have the same hard-core gangster feel." He also claims that Diddy wants to be in it and there's speculation that he could possibly take on the lead role, which was played by Christopher Walken in the original.
Production of the film could start as early as 2014.
