He says two seven-foot thugs came out of nowhere and held him and his entourage at gunpoint
Hip-hop producer Scott Storch believes an alleged armed robbery earlier this week was a "setup thing."
In an interview with MTV News, Storch - who has worked with artists such as 50 Cent and Dr. Dre - detailed the robbery. He says he was leaving a studio in Manhattan when "two seven-foot thugs came out of nowhere" and held up him and his entourage at gun point. Storch says the pair had their weapons "pressed up" on him and threatened to shoot him if he didn't give them his possessions.
The gunmen made off with about $100,000 worth of jewelry as well as $5,000 in cash. Storch says he's "not really worried about losing that stuff" and is just happy no one was hurt.
Scott Storch also had a message for every artist who brings their chains and jewelry to the recording studio. He says people have to "make sure their security is right."
