Chief Keef is ready to resume his rap career after serving a 60 month sentence in an Illinois juvenile detention facility. The rapper was locked up back in January following his conviction for a probation violation.
After hitting the streets on Thursday, the rapper took to Twitter to thank fans for their support while he was locked up.

Before his release, Chief Keef - born Keith Cozart - had to face a judge to determine whether he was fit for freedom. According to DNAInfo.com, Keef's lawyer reported to the court that the rapper had satisfactory behavior during his incarceration.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor argued that Keef should remain locked up due to his subpar behavior over the term of his probation, but a judge disagreed and decided to grant Cozart his freedom.
It didn't take long for Chief Keef to start putting out music. Shortly after his release his camp put out the video for his latest single "Now It's Over."
