Lil' Mama has landed a gig that she hopes will revive her career, which has been quiet ever since she crashed Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’s “Empire State of Mind” performance during MTV’s 2009 Video Music Awards.
Legendary rapper MC Lyte revealed during the Vibe Image Awards earlier this month that Mama will be playing Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in that upcoming TLC bio-pic. Lyte says, “I’m gonna put a little bit of my concentration and focus on helping to uplift a sister who is talented, smart, witty and just had her chances cut too short."
