(WENN) - Guerilla Black has been arrested over his alleged involvement in a major credit card scam.

The hip-hop star, real name Charles Tony Williamson, was taken into custody in Los Angeles on Wednesday by Manhattan Beach police officers as part of a multi-agency probe.

Five other suspects were arrested by authorities over allegations of credit card fraud and identify theft in illegal operations which are reported to have netted profits of $20,000-a-month.

Williamson was on pre-trial release stemming from his arrest in connection to a different fraud scheme last July.
