Chief Keef is now in jail, after violating his probation. According to RollingStone.com, the rapper was sentenced to 18 months of probation, after being convicted from pointing a gun at Chicago police officers. As part of his probation, he was ordered to stay away from guns, but over the summer did a video interview at a New York shooting range, where he is clearly shown firing a semiautomatic rifle.
RollingStone.com reports that Keef's attorney is saying that he "didn't violate the spirit of his probation" in the interview, which the 17-year-old rapper's record company Interscope set up.
Unfortunatley, a Cook County Juvenile court judge disagreed with the attorney saying, "There is a clear record of a disregard for the court's authority."
Keef's sentence hearing is on Thursday.
