As of recent, street violence in Chicago continues to grow as another rapper has been gunned down in the windy city. Rising rapper Johnny Boy Da Prince was shot and killed just before he was planning a trip to New York to meet with record executives, according to AllHipHop.com.
The aspiring rapper had offers on the table from a number of record labels including Epic, Universal, and Atlantic Records.
An assistant with Atlantic Records told the Chicago Tribune, "He was definitely talented. I personally believe he had a bright future in the music business. He definitely would have had a career."
The police found the 23-year-old wounded in an alley.
