B.o.B named Save The Music Foundation ambassador

The rapper, in his new role, will help raise awareness about the importance of music education in a young person's life

(WENN) - Rapper B.o.B has been unveiled as the latest ambassador of the 2013 VH1 Save The Music Foundation.

The hip-hop star, real name Bobby Ray Simmons, Jr., will join fellow musicians Andy Grammer, Henrik Lundqvist, Ingrid Michaelson, LeAnn Rimes, Mariah Carey, Matchbox 20, and Robin Thicke to help raise awareness about the importance of music education in a young person's life.

The ambassadors each share a role in helping to raise funds to further the foundation's mission to restore instrumental music education programs in schools.
