DMX NOW THREATENING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST OWN NETWORK

Earlier this month, DMX was featured on the season premiere of Iyanla Vanzant's OWN network show, Iyanla: Fix My Life. During the episode, the rapper was confronted over his drug use by his estranged son, Xavier. The show didn't end well as DMX refused to give up alcohol and drugs in order to have a relationship with his son. Well the dust still hasn't settled as DMX is now maintaining that he was tricked into appearing on the show and threatening legal action.

According to the rapper, he was suppose to be there to address his addiction to women not drugs and none of the drug related questions were cleared beforehand. The rapper recently told TMZ.com, "Iyanla set the whole thing up to make me look bad for ratings."

He added, "That lady is toxic ... My last words to her were that she can suck my d*** and she still can."

According to the rapper, his legal team is now exploring their options and they wanted the episode pulled from the network asap.

Obviously this video isn't as vicious as some blogs made it out to be...but having tracks pulled is never the business

SNIPPETS LEAKED FROM JAY-Z'S EXECUTIVE PRODUCED 'THE GREAT GATSBY'

Snippets of songs from the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby have hit the net. Two of the most highly anticipated tracks from the project are Jay-Z’s new single and his wife Beyoncé’s duet with Andre 3000 of OutKast.

The Beyoncé and Andre track is a cover of Amy Winehouse’s 2006 classic "Back to Black." Jay’s song is titled "100$ Bill." The rapper/businessman/sports agent also served as the executive producer for the album.

The 14-track project will also include songs by will.i.am, Lana Del Rey, Fergie & Q-Tip, Emeli Sandé, and others.

The soundtrack is now available for pre-sale on various online retailers. The regular version is scheduled for digital and physical release on May 7th.

KELLY ROWLAND ATTENDS GLAAD AWARDS

Kelly Rowland attended the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night, April 20th. The singer posed on the red carpet with Cloris Leachmanand performed at the event.

Rowland's new album, Talk A Good Game, will be out in June. It features a collaboration with Beyonce and Michelle Williams.

Rumors are swirling that Rihanna is pregnant. This is just days after Rihanna cancelled her Houston and Dallas tour dates this past weekend -- which totals four dates she has missed already on tour due to illness.. According to TMZ, RiRi was spotted walking out of a medical building in Beverly Hills. She is reportedly doing a lot better.

RiRi took to Instagram to explain why she cancelled the dates, saying, "I was sick since San Diego! I kept working because I thought two days off after the Vegas show would be enough time to recover and I f****d up, those were two days off from hell and today is not different! I'm sad and disappointed about it! I had all kinds of plans for Houston!"

According to E! News, sources close to the superstar say that she is not pregnant.

PRESIDENT OBAMA SPEAKS ON JAY-Z AND BEYONCE'S CUBA TRIP

President Obama has addressed rumors that he helped out Jay-Z and Beyonceget clearance for their trip to Cuba. The couple went to the country to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary earlier this month. Jay-Z later released a new song "Open Letter," where he rapped, "Boy from the hood, but got White House clearance," and "Obama said, 'Chill, you gonna get me impeached.'"

When asked about the trip, Obama said, "I wasn't familiar that they were taking the trip. My understanding is I think they went through a group that organizes these educational trips down to Cuba. You know, this is not something the White House was involved with. We've got better things to do."

IS KELLY ROWLAND HEADING TO 'X-FACTOR'?

Rumor has it that Kelly Rowland is being considered as a judge for X Factor. According to The Huffington Post UK, Kelly is a frontrunner to replace Britney Spears on the show.

A source told The Mail Online, "Kelly knows the X Factor, she's aware of what it takes to be a judge and she's also outspoken. Simon has always remained a fan of Kelly's and she's most definitely in the mix to join the judging panel on X Factor USA."

Kelly was a judge on the UK version of the show in 2011. At the time, she said, "I love the UK and being part of the show last year. Mentoring the girls was such an incredible experience I will never forget. I would like to thank Simon for the great opportunity and asking me to be a judge last season."

DID NICKI MINAJ SCORE HER FIRST ACTING ROLE?

VIBE has reported that Nicki Minaj may have scored her first role on the big screen. The rapper has reportedly signed up for the upcoming thriller The Counselor. The film will star Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Rosie Perez and more. The film hits theatres on November 15th. Nicki hasn't confirmed the new as of yet.

K. MICHELLE GETS HER OWN REALITY SHOW

According to Madamenoire.com, K. Michelle recently revealed during a performance that she is getting her own reality show. She said, "God is just bringing me to a whole different place. My mouth is still bad. I drink and act a fool. But, I just don't think that [Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta] is where I need to be. I do have my own show coming on VH1. You guys are gonna like that one a lot. You really are."

JAY-Z AND BEYONCE BECOME MUSIC'S FIRST BILLIONAIRE COUPLE

Jay-Z and Beyonce are reportedly pop music's first billionaire couple. According to The New York Daily News, an insider said that Beyonce's new H&M deal and her Mrs. Carter Showworld tour -- which will bring in $115 million, has helped bring the couple's worth to $1 billion dollars.

Meanwhile, in a new video for Chime for Change, the organization that support women's empowerment, Beyonce explained how she encourages her 15-month-old daughter Blue Ivy every day. She said, "I'm telling my daughter every day, 'You know you can be president, you know it's possible,' and I know she has no idea why I'm saying that."

Beyonce is set to headline the Sound of Change concert on June 1st.

IYANLA VANZANT WRITES OPEN LETTER TO DMX

Iyanla Vanzant has written an open letter to DMX -- just days after his appearance on OWN's Iyanla, Fix My Lifeaired. In the letter, Iyanla wrote, "Beloved, I know we haven't spoken since our time together in Yonkers. And what I'm hearing is that they are just waiting for the call. They are waiting for the day they get the call. And you know what I mean. But I'm not waiting for that call. I'm calling on you, and I'm not going to give up on you. I will not stand by and watch my brother die."

She continued, "Over the years, I've worked with many, many people who've struggled with addiction. With help, healing is possible. I want you to remember the person you became in the final months of your grandmother's life. That's a clean life. You can be that man today and every day. Just remember what your son said to you, 'I want a relationship with you that is not toxic.'

She then added, "My brother, Earl, DMX, I support you. I love you and I'm calling on all of my beloveds...to send you their love and support. I know that there is no valley deep enough, no gap wide enough that love can't conquer. My door is always open."

DMX'S SON RESPONDS

DMX's 20-year-old son Xavier also responded to X's statement, saying that Iyanla made his life worse. He said, "The older that I've gotten, learning to see him as a person...He loves to play the victim role. At first, he thought the show was going to be all about him. When he started to tackle the tough questions, he just flipped out. Iyanla didn't make his life worse, he did that," Xavier said in an online video circulating. He also said that after removing himself from the situation with his father that he was able to find some clarity.

THE BEEF BETWEEN RIHANNA AND CIARA CONTINUES

The beef between Rihanna and Ciara has continued. Rihanna got wind of comments that Ciara made about her in a recent interview and wrote on Instagram, "How u gon hate from outside??? Thanks for the free promeux sis!! When will they start asking questions about HER?"

KEVIN HART ARRESTED FOR DUI

Kevin Hart was arrested early Sunday morning (April 14th) for suspicion of DUI. According to E! Online, officers spotted Kevin driving erratically and speeding. They also reported witness him almost colliding with a gas tanker truck. He was pulled over after failing a field sobriety test and was arrested. Kevin was taken to the Van Nuys jail on a $5,000 bond.

After being released, he took to Twitter to vent. He wrote, "I'm officially a thug, I spent 6hrs in jail last night...I got pulled over 3blocks from my house by a d*ck head cop. This cop was the worst, he knew who I was & wanted to make a example out of me...."

He continued, "I did 6,000 push ups & 13,000 sit ups while I was in the pin....shout out to my celly 'Mark' we exchanged war stories LMFAO...When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said "WHY WASTE OUR TIME...I'M DRUNK MAN" ..... #TrueStory"

He then added, "On some real sh*t....drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid s**t this! This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't....everything happens for a reason...."

DMX SAYS IYANLA VANZANT MADE HIS LIFE WORSE

DMX was not too happy about his appearance on Iyanla, Fix My Life this past weekend -- saying that Iyanla didn't fix his life, she actually made it worse. According to Allhiphop, a rep said, "DMX agreed to be a guest on 'Iyanla: Fix My Life' with the understanding that she would be helping his relationships with his 10 children. When he arrived for the taping, most of the content was focused on his struggles with drugs and poor parenting. Iyanla did not 'fix' DMX's life just made his image worse, and does not have DMX's personal written consent to use the footage."

The rep added, "What the team does want DMX's fans to know is that he is working on a new album that will include Swizz Beatz and we hope to also work with Timbaland, Dr. Dre, and Kanye West. Another announcement is his upcoming film 'Blame It On The Hustle' Mekhi Phifer and Ving Rhames."

On the 90 minute premiere episode, DMX asked Iyanla to help him to deal with wanting to be with multiple women -- which Iyanla said was a symptom of deeper issues that he had in his life, like abandonment issues, drug abuse, etc. Iyanla also spoke to X's estranged wife Tashera and his 20-year-old son Xavier, who confronted X about his issues with him.

DRAKE TALKS CHRIS BROWN

Drake has finally addressed his issues with Chris Brown. In an interview with the East Village "Keep It Thoro"radio show, when asked about his beef with Chris Brown, he said, "For any media outlet that listens to this interview, don't ask me sh*t about that man when I come up there. Leave that man alone and stop preying on his insecurities man. His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more popping than him, and that at one point in life ,the woman that he loves fell into my lap and I did what a real n*gga would do and treated her with respect. So she's not out there talking down on me."

He continued, "All of those things combined creates a n-gga that comes up to your radio station and is just gonna do dumb sh*t. GUCCI MANE ARRESTED ONE DAY AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM JAIL

Gucci Mane was reportedly arrested -- just one day after being released from jail. According to TMZ, the rapper was re-arrested on Saturday (April 13th) for violating his probation. Before that he was arrested on March 26th for allegedly assaulting a man with a bottle at an Atlanta nightclub. A judge initially denied Gucci's bail, but it later set for $75,000.

Law enforcement sources say that the probation violation is unrelated to Gucci's recent assault arrest.

TRINA AND TOCARRA RESPONDS TO A$AP ROCKY'S DARK-SKINNED COMMENTS

Rapper Trina and America's Next Top Model star Toccarra have both responded to A$AP Rocky's recent comments about red lipstick not looking good on dark skinned women. Tocarra told TMZ, "His comments show he has self-hate. Doesn't he love himself? How do you make a comment like that when you're brown yourself?" Trina said that A$AP doesn't know what he is talking about because she has seen women of all shades "look beautiful in red lip wear."

REEBOK DROPS RICK ROSS

Reebok has dropped Rick Ross due to his controversial lyrics on the song "U.O.E.N.O." On the song, Ross rapped, "Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne. She ain't even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain't even know it." Reebok told TMZ in a statement, "Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so."

Reebok continued, "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse."

ULTRAVIOLET CO-FOUNDER RESPONDS

UltraViolent -- the organization that held a protest at Reebok's headquarters regarding Ross's lyrics responded to Reebok dropping Ross. Co-founder Nita Chaudhary said in a statement,"We are thrilled to hear that Reebok is joining the fight against rape culture and dropping Rick Ross. This is a huge victory for women, for the 526 survivors of rape who were brave enough to publicly confront rape culture, and for the nearly 100,000 UltraViolet members who have poured their hearts and time into this campaign. Nearly 100,000 UltraViolet members signed a petition demanding Reebok drop Ross and more than 10,000 called the company demanding action.

TMZ has reported that Lil Wayne almost got into it with Trick Daddy at the King of Diamonds strip club. According to sources, Wayne was at the club and started to get a "bad vibe" from Trick Daddy's crew. Wayne decided to leave and while walking out with Mack Maine, a few of Trick's crew threw a lit cigarette into Wayne's dreads. Before Wayne could react, security jumped in between the two crews. Sources say that Trick Daddy and Wayne never came face to face.

BRUTAL FIGHT ON THE SET OF 'LOVE & HIP HOP: ATLANTA'

Reports say that there was a brutal fight on the set of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta where a cast member allegedly got their face slashed. According to Mediatakeout, a source said that Scrappy's fiance and ex Shay "Buckeey" Johnson got into a fight at the launch of Karli Redd's new line of hair weave.

A source said, "They ran towards each other and started fighting. Shay was winning then Erica pulled something out and hit SHAY IN THE FACE." The inside said that the object may have been a blade. The source said that Shay's face "opened up" and she started bleeding everywhere. The insider said, "It was like a horror movie." Shay was rushed to the hospital. Her injuries were reportedly not life threatening.

The source also revealed that cops were called to the set. Producers made everyone in the building delete any footage that they may have shot on their cameras showing the incident.

ERICA CONFIRMS THE FIGHT, DENIES USING WEAPON

According to Rhymes With Snitch, Erica has confirmed that she had a fight with Shay, but said that she didn not cut Shay's face with a razor blade. She instagrammed, "WTH? I don't need any type of weapon, I got these hands!! #runupgetdoneup #pointblankperiod."

According to StraightfromtheA.com, reported that the fight started when Shay arrived at Karlie Redd's party and started to beat on windows to get Erica to come outside. Erica went outside and the two soon got into a shouting match. It is not known who threw the first punch, but Erica reportedly won the fight. Shay was later spotted with a bleeding face.

WIZ KHALIFA IS STARTING WORK ON THIRD SOLO ALBUM

In a radio interview, Wiz Khalifa has revealed that he is starting work on a new album. He said, "I'm working on another album. I'm planning on dropping it this year, I wasn't going to, but I just got like so much motivation. I been having so much fun, and having my son. I feel like it'd be a great time to put out a really dope, relevant project."

RAY-J IS STILL DEFENDING 'I HIT IT FIRST'

In another radio interview, Ray J is still defending his new ode to Kim Kardashian called "I Hit It First." He said, "It's just a song. Of course it's about my life. It's a true story. It's self-explanatory. It's a real record. We living. We having fun." On if it's about Kim K, he said, "I can't say it's not about somebody. I can only say it's about me. DIDDY'S BABY MAMA SUED

In other news, Diddy's baby mama Kim Porter is being sued by her former nanny Dawn Drago. According to TMZ, Drago has claimed that Kim verbally and violently abused her before firing her. Drago -- who worked for Kim from 2011 to 2012, has claimed that Kim smoked weed and did cocaine in her kids presence. She also claimed that one day she was driving the kids to school and they were covered "in a white powdery substance." She claimed that the kids had gotten into "a bag containing the powder, along with clear capsules, filled with another powdery substance in a bag in the back seat."

When Drago confronted Porter, she claimed that the bag contained "medicine." She also claimed that she was fired for complaining about Kim smoking weed in the house.

The woman accusing Kim Porter — Diddy’s baby mama — of being a hard-core druggie who exposed her kids to kush and blow is a fraud who is pissed off because she got the ax … this according to sources close to Kim.

Our sources say … former nanny Dawn Drago is a convicted shoplifter — something she didn’t disclose on her employment application. But more to the point, we’re told she’s extremely bitter because she was fired for falsifying time sheets.

We’re told Kim is adamant … Drago’s drug claims are completely false and the lawsuit is retaliation for getting 86′d.

MIGUEL SAYS 'KALEIDOSCOPE DREAM' WAS A HUGE RISK

Miguel has revealed that he was scared to release his sophomore album Kaleidoscope Dream -- thinking that people wouldn't get it. In an interview with VIBE, when asked what was the biggest risk he's taken artistically, he said, "Sh*t, well this whole album - overall it doesn't sound like any other R&B album that's been put out in the past decade. The only album I would say sounds as alternative would be A Beautiful World by Robin Thicke, and that was like 2003. Since then, I haven't heard a commercial album sound as alternative as this one. Including those psychedelic influences for R&B was a huge risk. I honestly was nervous to put it out."

He continued, "I remember having a conversation with Mark, my A&R, like, 'Man, I don't know if they're gonna get this sh*t. It may be bad.' And he was like, 'I love the album.' And I love it, too . . .."

Miguel also admits that took some fashion risks in the past that he doesn't think was the best decision. He said, "On the opposite end, risks that I didn't even know I was taking - I look back on photos [from All I Want Is You] and the way I was dressed is not something I'd do again. KENDRICK LAMAR REVEALS THE MOST REGRETTABLE TREND HE'S FOLLOWED

In the April/May issue of VIBE, Kendrick Lamar revealed the most regrettable trend he's followed since becoming an artist. Kendrick said, "Prior to Section.80, I was following what was on radio and TV. Then I came to realize that I didn't stand out at all. Despite constant rumors that she has slept her way to the top, Nicki Minaj has claimed that she has never slept with Lil Wayne. WAKA FLOCKA FLAME'S REP RESPONDS TO CONTROVERSY OVER WHITE WOMEN COMMENTS

Waka Flocka Flame's rep Kali Mari Bowyer has responded to the controversy over his recent comments about white women. In a recent interview, he said, "Used to be black girls was the baddest sh*t, you know what I mean? ... White women are poppin' right now, man. They f*ckin' poppin'. Imma just be real." According to HipHollywood, Bowyer said, "Waka said nothing wrong. Everyone wants to jump on the 'racial band wagon', however if the tables were turned and he praised African American women instead, it would have not been an issue because its hip-hop. Waka sees beauty in all women."

MEEK MILL SAYS 'NO MONEY, NO PICTURE'

Contrary to the tea that’s being spilled in the streets, Meek Mill wants you to know that he is not out here charging every fan that walks up to him for a photo. A couple of weeks ago Meek found himself in some drama after a fan from The Netherlands wrote us and said that even though she had already paid for VIP tickets, Meek told her it would be $100 to take a picture with him. When she said she didn’t have any money, she claimed he told her, "No Money, no picture." Fans in Paris also jumped on Twitter to say the same thing happened to them, however Meek Mill is now saying it’s not him that’s charging fans, it’s his crew. In an interview with D.C. radio station, 93.9, he said he can’t help it if his crew is trying to make a quick buck but also said he doesn’t see what the big deal since artists like Beyonce and Rihanna make fans pay up to $500 for a meet and greet.

Actually, I was not charging to take pictures ya know? My homies be in the crowd and if my homie trying to make some money and you trying to get backstage, he might charge you. That’s your fault. I don’t even see nothing wrong! Beyonce and Rihanna, they charge $500 for a meet and greet. I’m bout to do a meet and greet right now free. I been doing this for years, you know what I’m saying? I take pictures everyday. I just took twenty pictures. I hang in the neighborhood. I hang in the hood. So you know it’s average to me. I come outside everyday, pictures is average to me."
