Attorney Confirms Moon Testifies to Grand Jury
Robert Hutton adds Elvin Moon is not a target of the investigation into Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton.

The attorney representing Elvin Moon, a longtime of Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton confirmed Monday his client has testified before a federal grand jury, but added his client is not a target.
Robert Hutton said Moon is a successful businessman and will cooperate "fully and completely."
Herenton is the target of a federal probe where investigators are looking into more than $700,000 in noncompetitive city contracts awarded to Moon's company. There is also a private real estate deal where a firm owned by Herenton sold a plot of land to Moon for $50,000, then Moon sold it back for $10.
